Island Images presents an evening with Chilmark painter Linda Thompson on Friday, August 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. Ms. Thompson studied art at the Pratt Institute, Carnegie Mellon University and McGill University. In addition to her signature landscape paintings, the Island Images event will feature her recent bird artwork, with renditions of the less glamorous but rich in personality species like wild turkeys, guinea hens, crows and pheasants.
