Riding Martha’s Vineyard Transit Authority buses will cost slightly more in the new year.
The VTA will implement new fare changes beginning Jan. 1, part of planned fare increases that were approved and announced last year.
Single rides will be going up by 25 cents per town, from $1 to $1.25. The cost of an adult annual pass will increase by $10, from $110 to $120, and a one-day pass will go to $8 from $7.
According to the VTA, single ride fares were last increased in 2002.
