My sincerest condolences to the family of Virginia Costa Hall, Ginny to her family and friends, who passed away on Monday night at her home in Oak Bluffs under the care of her family and Hospice. Ginny and I worked together at the office of Dr. Peter J. Laursen in the late 1980s and early 90s. Lunch time at the Hall home was always enjoyable and filled with friends of Ginny’s and her late husband Fred. Our friendship went back decades as our parents were all friends in the 1940s and 50s. We spent an afternoon together just before Christmas and it was a very memorable time for both of us. Ginny is survived by her son Fred and his wife Helene and their children Danielle, Jillian and Skylar and by her daughter Heather and her twin sons Myles and Lucas. Ginny was predeceased by her parents Manuel and Jeannette Costa and by her sisters Julienne Costa Marshall and Patricia Costa. Services are being scheduled at this time.

Welcome home to Thomas Murphy and his bride Christine who will be in residence at their Old South Road home on a year-round basis. They have closed their Chestnut Hill home and will be moving to their Aquinnah home. As we all know, Tom and Christine are founders of the annual Old South Road Fourth of July parade, but they have also contributed so much more to our community in many ways, and for that we are grateful. Their presence will be greatly appreciated. Welcome home.

All the best to Deborah Walker and her family who have sold their home on Oxcart Road.
