The All-Island Band is getting into the swing of the season with a holiday concert on Thursday, Dec. 17, at the Performing Arts Center at the regional high school, beginning at 7 p.m. The band is made up of students from schools around the Island, in fourth through eighth grade.

The performance next Thursday will showcase all the students, including those who are in the second and third years as band members, and those in their fourth and fifth years.

The All-Island Band began competing off-Island in 2002 and since then has been awarded nine gold medals and four platinum awards (platinum being the top honor).

The concert is free.
