Two workshops involving collaborative problem solving for kids will be held on March 7 and 8 — one for parents and one for educators.

Both workshops will be held at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School and will focus on a new approach for helping children with behavioral challenges.

Think: Kids Collaborative Problem Solving Approach will be led by Dr. Larry Epstein, a nationally certified bullying prevention trainer who helped found the nonprofit Creating Caring Communities.

The March 7 workshop is designed for parents and will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the high school library. The March 8 session is designed for educators, clinicians and community members and will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center.

Both workshops are free and sponsored by the Island Wide Youth Collaborative. To register for the parent workshop, visit mvcommunityservices.com/events/thinkkids. The workshop on March 8 does not require registration. For assistance with child care or more information, please call 508-693-7900 extension 400.
