Two grammar school plays are set to hit the stages this weekend.
On Friday, April 8, at 6:30 p.m. the fifth graders at the Edgartown School go back in time to peform the musical version of Schoolhouse Rock, the former Emmy Award-winning cartoon series. The fifth grades will be joined by students with Imp for Kids and The Yard. The performance is free but donations are welcome.
Up-Island, at the West Tisbury School, the kids are presenting Shrek Jr., the musical, on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. The whole gang will be there — ogre, donkey, singing pigs — and you should be too.
