Jeffrey (Bubba) Allen Wray died April 9 at the Cape Cod Hospital. He was 44. 

He was born August 21, 1971 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. He attended the Edgartown School and graduated from the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School.

Jeffrey worked carpentry and landscaping. He enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting, as well as cruises and vacationing in Aruba. He loved his dogs Spot and Prince.

He is survived by his parents William and Kathleen Wray of Edgartown; his sister Jennifer Gibb, her husband John and their daughter Hannah of Oak Bluffs; his sister Laurie Turney, her husband Joe, and their children Joseph and Emily of West Tisbury; his grandfather James Wray of Somerset; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home in Oak Bluffs. A funeral will be held on Friday, April 15 at 11 a.m. at Chapman, Cole and Gleason followed by interment in the New Westside Cemetery on Robinson Road in Edgartown. Family and friends will gather following the service at the Holy Ghost Association (Portuguese American Club) on Vineyard avenue in Oak Bluffs. Please bring a dish to share.
