A West Tisbury School student was among the top three scorers in this year’s Falmouth Academy Merit Scholarship Exam.

Kate Goldsmith, daughter of Susan Sigel Goldsmith and Michael Goldsmith, earned a $3,000 merit scholarship and will enroll as a seventh grader at Falmouth Academy this fall.

Twenty-four middle school students took the 90-minute exam, which was created by Falmouth Academy teachers and focuses on English and math skills.
