The Yard in Chilmark closes its summer season with a concert of folk music on Friday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m.. The group, Dick Connette and Folk, is led by composer Dick Connette, whose work merges American folk and popular music. Mr. Connette founded StorySound Records, a small New York city label, in 2009 and since then it has released 15 CDs, including Loudon Wainwright III’s Grammy-winning High Wide & Handsome.

Tickets are $10; $5 for children under 12.
