Kittens, kittens, kittens! The shelter has nine new black and gray tabby kittens. The first litter is approximately seven weeks old, two males and two females. We’re calling them Bob, Carol, Ted and Alice. The second litter is only about five weeks, three boys and two girls named Manny, Moe, Jack, Charlotte and Emily. If you are interested in a kitten please contact us to have your name put on the kitten list.

We have two new females that have joined the cat room. Whitey is a gorgeous, year-old blue point Siamese mix. She is petite, very friendly, and purrs like crazy. She would make a great addition to any home. Lacey is a very pretty eight-year-old calico. She is also sweet as can be and loves to sit in your lap. She has the cutest markings on her face, looking like she‘s been in pumpkin pie eating contest. Come by and see if you have a place in your heart for either of these girls.

Still in the cat room hoping someone falls in love with them are Cee Cee, a stunning frosted tip feline with long black fur tipped with silver. Her age is six or seven years old and she just wants to share her love with you. We also have three-year-old Doris, an atypical tortoiseshell who is extremely affectionate and loves people. Could either of these girls fill that void in your life?

And we also have five boys in the cat room waiting for someone to love. Three-year-old black and gray tabby Cody is a large, friendly boy who loves spending his time with people and gets along with dogs. Little ZZ is a sweet three-year-old buff and white boy. He is a bit on the shy side but has been responding to the volunteers. We are confident that he will blossom once he gets into his forever home. Still waiting is four-year-old buff and white Lefty, a big boy who loves to play. And the other big orange and white male, Chappy, is biding his time in the cat condo waiting for someone to love him. He needs a family who understands cats.

Last, but not least, a huge thank you to the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s spay/neuter wagon. While here this past Wednesday they spayed or neutered four dogs and 18 cats. Their next visit is scheduled for November. If you would like to have your dog or cat spayed or neutered please contact your local animal control officer.
