Leslie Malcouronne

Leslie Ingraham Malcouronne died unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, Nov. 15 at her home in Oak Bluffs. She was 69.

She was married to John H. (JB) Bunker. She is also survived by her daughter Veronica Malcouronne and her fiance George Sparacino; her daughter Michelle Duarte and her husband Richard; her granddaughters Mariah and Lily Duarte; her stepdaughter Erica Ponte, her husband Kenny, and their three children; stepson Rodney Bunker, his wife Pam, and their two daughters; stepson John Bunker Jr. and his partner, Lynley; her brother Billy Ingraham and his wife Carol; her niece Jenny Ingraham and her fiance Jason Robinson; great-nieces Samantha and Elizabeth Robinson.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home in Oak Bluffs.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Marcia Buckley.

Donations may be made in her name to Hospice of MV, P.O. Box 1748, Vineyard Haven, MA 02568.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date at the family home.

Even though it's been decades since I've seen Leelee, there has always been a large place in my heart for her. Leslie, Ronnie, Billy, Aunt Neat, and Uncle Beeb are family to me and my siblings. Our hearts are breaking with the loss of our sister by sheer love. Rest in Peace Leslie, give my love to all the old gang whom I'm sure are playing playing "Password" and drinking ice coffee.

Like my brother Michael. I have not seen Leelee in many years. Much to my disappointment. Life carries us all in different directions. She was likes an older sister who tried to keep us out of trouble. She was a good friend and I loved her. Her departure has left a very large whole in my heart. Never to be forgotten.

Leslie will be sorely missed. I, too, had not seen her in ages, but we stayed in touch via phone and John's f.b. So enjoyed growing up with her, Billy and Ronnie in Avon, CT as well as vacations in Niantic, CT and ultimately at Martha's Vineyard. I'm sure you'll be laughing it up with Uncle Beeb and Aunt Neet and with my Dad (Uncle Bill), and Grandma Viv... among too many others. Peace be with you and your family. My kids will never forget your "was-a-wassas"! Love you cuz, you will be missed.

I worked with Leslie for years and she was always a funny, smart, upbeat soul. A spark has gone out on the island and we will miss her.

Leslie will be missed by so many islanders. We drove tour buses together for years and shared many endless ideas. Our laughter seemed to be non-stop as we constantly traded quips. Leslie was yet another island treasure who has left us way too soon.

I want to go to Bayonne, NJ for the zucchini festival. Or perhaps we should recite a few off color limericks in rapid succession. A sailor named Bass or another named Bates doing the fandango on skates. Ah my cousin Leelee. I am going to miss you so damn much. FUN. That is the word to describe her. She could crack up a Westminster palace guard with her endless wit. So many good times on the Rock, with Aunt Neatsie, and Mom, Beeb and Dad and the crazy Ingraham clan. I loved them all and will miss them until I join the cosmic bash wherever they are. Cast not ye bread upon the water lest it come back soggy. Godspeed Sweet Les, I'm so happy you didn't suffer and just split.

Although it has been quite a long time since we have seen Leslie she will always be in our hearts. We will always remember her trips to Colorado, once with you, John, and the other with Victoria. She was such a gracious and caring lady. John you were very lucky to have her in your life. We will be thinking of you and will be here if you need anything. Love you.
