The Edgartown Public Library will host a community forum on immigration on Tuesday, Jan. 10 from 6 to 8 p.m., sponsored by the Martha’s Vineyard Social Justice Leadership Foundation.
The forum will feature post-election information about immigration law, potential risks to community members, and strategies to support and protect immigrant families. Panel members will include ACLU Boston attorney Adriana Lafaille, Edgartown attorney Mary Costello, Island businessman Elio Silva, and Laura Silber of the Island group We Stand Together. Island immigration attorney Rebecca McCarthy will serve as moderator.
Portuguese translators will be available to answer questions. The event is free; for more information contact 508-627-8737.
