John Tenney Mead of Edgartown died on Friday morning, Feb. 3 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. He was 88.

He was the father of Amy H. Mead and Emily Mead-Santos.

His funeral service will be held at a later date and a complete obituary will appear in a future edition of the Gazette.
