The Vineyard Gazette won 12 photography awards at the 2017 New England Newspaper and Press Association Better Newspaper Competition. Award-winning photos ranged from portraits of Island artists and artisans to sea-faring scenes from a day with a charter fishing captain and a trip aboard a pelagic birding expedition.
