Tisbury Waterways Inc., an Island environmental nonprofit advocacy group, has announced a new scholarship for Vineyard residents. The scholarship is offered to college juniors or seniors who have declared a major in a field related to marine/environmental science, as well as to students in graduate school in these fields. This scholarship was initially proposed to honor Betty Feldman, a retired educator, who was active in TWI’s educational endeavors. TWI sponsors the high school science fair, pays for interns and the Tisbury School catch basin medallion and stormwater education program, as well as projects to improve water quality.

More information can be found on the high school post graduate scholarship site.
