With the government still divided over the shutdown, Vineyarders of all backgrounds are coming together to support the federal employees who are now only a few days away from missing their second paycheck.

What better way to do that than fill bellies with a hot meal?

Tonight the Portuguese American Club of Martha’s Vineyard is inviting all TSA and Coast Guard employees on the Vineyard and their family members for a free fish fry.

The dinner will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the PA Club in Oak Bluffs. Along with fried fish, the meal will include coleslaw, cornbread, and french fries, as well as cake for dessert. All that’s needed for entry is a valid federal ID.
