Steven (Brooks) Chaffee died unexpectedly on Friday, April 19, in Cambridge at Mt. Auburn Hospital. He was 40 and was the son of Steven H. and Sandra L. (Hawkins) Chaffee of Edgartown.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, and a complete obituary will follow.

Arrangements are under the care of the Chapman, Cole and Gleason funeral home in Oak Bluffs.
