Let the sun shine, the grills smoke, the basepaths be busy, and the bats be hot because the boys and girls of summer are ready to rock. Little League opening day is here.

On Saturday, April 27, the festivities begin with a parade down Circuit avenue in Oak Bluffs. The parade steps off at 9 a.m. with all teams represented, from T-ball to Major League.

The parade ends at Viera Park and then everyone heads over to Penn Field for team introductions, the national anthem and the first pitch, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

And then it is time to play ball! Games will take place at fields all over the Island, including Penn Field.
