Rene Louis Blanc of Hidden Cove died peacefully on April 30, just shy of his 91st birthday, surrounded by his six children.

A true gentleman and a loyal friend to many, he left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know him. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Patricia Blanc.

A full obituary will appear in a future edition of the Gazette. A memorial service is planned for late July.
