Anthony Nunziato, 81, Was Retired Bus Driver

Anthony Nunziato of Medford, 81, a summer resident of the Vineyard, died on August 28 at his home.

Mr. Nunziato was born in Boston on July 13, 1921, and was educated in the Somerville schools. He was employed for many years as a bus driver for the MBTA. He was a former member of the James A. Logan VFW Post and DAV Post 27 Somerville, and of the Carmen's Union Local 589.

Mr. Nunziato is survived by his wife, Edith Vena Nunziato; his children, Rita Bartolomeu and her husband, Carlos, and Teresa and Thomas Nunziato, all of Medford; his siblings, Joseph of Fairhaven, Carmen of Somerville, John of Woburn and Lucia Pondelli of Somerville, and his grandchildren, Cristina, Sharon and Timothy Bartolomeu. He was predeceased by a brother, Salvatore.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 31, at 9 a.m. from the Cota Struzziero-McKenna Funeral Home in Somerville, with a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Clement's Church on Warner street in Somerville. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Memorial donations in his name may be made to Hospice Care Inc., 41 Montvale avenue, Stoneham, MA 02180.
