Richard Vincent Cuff, 47, Was U.S. Navy Veteran

Richard Vincent Cuff of West Tisbury, 47, died unexpectedly on Dec. 25.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Richard had an engaging and witty manner and a gentle soul. He had a keen interest in history and his travels inspired a desire to learn more about far-away lands. He was a talented craftsman and had a great love for boats and the sea.

Richard is survived by his mother, Laura Doll Cuff-Menard, and sister, Margaret Gloria Cuff-Quinones, both of New Bedford. His children, Joshua Joseph, Jessica Brittany, Jacob Scott, Graham Daniel and Christian Richard, live in Bath, Me., with their mother, Nancy Cuff Bigelow. His son, Daniel Richard, lives in Oak Bluffs with his mother, Donna Bouchard. Richard is also survived by his wife, Alison, and stepsons Morgan and Jesse Child of West Tisbury. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Daniel Cuff Sr., and his brother, Joseph Daniel Cuff Jr.
