Arthur Fletcher Jr. Was Veteran of World War II

Arthur Fletcher Jr. of Piscataway, N.J., and Martha's Vineyard died suddenly at his home in Piscataway on Jan. 6.

Mr. Fletcher had worked at the U.S. Post Office in East Orange for 24 years before retiring as a supervisor in 1988. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army.

Born in Newark, he lived in East Orange before moving to Piscataway many years ago. He also maintained a home in Oak Bluffs for many years.

He is survived by three sons, Paul, Arthur 3rd and Mark; his mother, Marvis Fletcher; a brother, Gerald, and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia Fletcher.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 13, at Trinity St. Philips Cathedral in Newark, N.J. Interment was at Rosedale Cemetery in Orange, N.J.
