Harry Goldman, 92, Was Former Pharmacy Owner
Harry Goldman, 92, of Hershey, Pa., formerly of West Orange, N.J., died Sunday evening, March 2, at his residence.
He was a retired pharmacist and owner of the former Goldman's Drug Store in Newark, N.J., and also from the Lee Chemical Co. and Lapse Distributors.
A member of B'nai Brith, Simon Wiesenthal center, he was a graduate of Rutgers College of Pharmacy, class of 1930. He was a member of Chisuk Emuna Synagogue and the Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Center.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Rose Goldman; a daughter, Leona G. Abt, of Hershey; three grandchildren, Dr. Peter Abt of Lafayette Hills, Pa., Suzanne Abt of Huntington Valley, Pa., and Eileen Abt of Chevy Chase, Md., and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers William and Murray.
Funeral services were held March 4 at the Chisuk Emuna Synagogue in Harrisburg, Pa. Graveside services were held March 5 at the Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Cemetery.
