Phyllis W. Erlandson, 76, Summered on the Island

Phyllis (Warburton) Erlandson of Milton and Edgartown died Saturday, March 29, at her home in Milton. She was 76.

Phyllis was born in Boston and lived in Milton for 75 years. She was a 1946 graduate of LaSalle College in Auburndale.

Phyllis was a homemaker and in addition worked in the Milton public school system as an aide for more than 25 years, retiring in 1991. Phyllis mainly worked in the Glover School on Canton avenue.

She and her husband have been seasonal residents of Martha's Vineyard since 1948. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Erlandson for 54 years.

She was the devoted mother of Jane E. Tremblay of Ontario and Barbara E. Puddicombe of Stowe, Vt. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Sarah Tremblay, Amy Tremblay, Matthew Puddicombe, Gretchen Puddicombe and Samuel Puddicombe.

Funeral services are private. Arrangements are by the Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home in Milton.
