Elizabeth V. English, 85, Was Resident of Virginia

Elizabeth V. English, 85, of Main street, Falmouth, formerly of Warsaw, Va., died on Thursday, May 1, at the Royal Nursing Center in Falmouth, where she had resided for the past two years. She was the wife of the late John Greer English Jr., to whom she was married on August 10, 1942, and who died in 1966.

Born on Dec. 6, 1917 in Syracuse, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Amos and Mary Jane (Smith) Vroman.

Mrs. English resided in Virginia until moving to Cape Cod two years ago. She was a graduate of the Trap Hagen School of Fashion and Design in New York city and had been a homemaker.

Mrs. English leaves a daughter, Karen English-Malin of Chilmark; two sons, Dr. John G. English 3rd of Warsaw, Va., and Michael English of Southwest Harbor, Me.; a sister, Mary Ellen Barnes of Mendham, N.J., and a grandchild.

Services and interment will be private.
