Rowena Brown
Rowena Brown of Holyoke and former longtime resident of Old Lyme, Conn., died on Feb. 18 at the Northhampton Nursing Home. She was 92.
She was born on April 29, 1912 in Hillsboro, N.H., the daughter of Herbert G. and Francina Bagley Yeaton. Mrs. Brown was the widow of Robert Brown.
She resided in Old Lyme from 1934 to 1996. For many years she summered on the Vineyard.
Mrs. Brown was formerly an Avon lady in Old Lyme. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star where she was a Worthy Matron. She was also active in the Laegue of Women's Voters.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Williams, of Southampton; her six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home in Old Lyme is gandling arrangements.
