Roberta M. Fernandes

Roberta M. (Mills) Fernandes, 75, of New Bedford died Thursday, March 10, at Sacred Heart Home after a brief illness. She was the widow of Carl Fernandes. Born on Martha's Vineyard, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Eunice H. Mills. She lived most of her life in New Bedford and was a graduate of New Bedford High School. She was office manager at Brigham Medical Associates. Mrs. Fernandes was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church and was a member of its ladies guild.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Karl E. Fernandes of the Woodlands, Tex., and a brother, John R. Mills Jr. of New Bedford. A Mass of Christian Burial was said Tuesday at St. Julie Billiart Church, Dartmouth with the Rev. Brian Harrington officiating. Arrangements were by Perry Funeral Home.
