Elma M. Sylvia, 69, Was Owner of Sail's Realty

Elma M. Sylvia of Augusta, Me., died Oct. 12 at Maine General Medical Center. She was 69 years old.

She was born in New Bedford on Jan. 9, 1936, the daughter of Joseph A. LeBlanc and Beatrice M. (Boudreau) LeBlanc.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Sylvia owned and operated Sail's Realty on Martha's Vineyard for several years.

Her husband, Edward A. Sylvia, preceded her in death in 1994.

She is survived by a daughter, Roxanne Froias of Winthrop, Me.; a son, Raymond T. Sylvia, and his wife, Judy, of Oak Bluffs; three grandchildren, Charles E. Sylvia, Amy L. Roca and Roxy-Leigh Bittues, and two great-grandchildren, Riley Sylvia and Nicholas Roca.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Bluffs. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, One Main street, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.
