Bruce J. Turgeon Taught at Vineyard High School
Bruce J. Turgeon of West Barnstable died on Monday, Dec. 19, at Pleasant Bay Nursing Home in Brewster. He was 67.
He was the husband of Pam Chase and the late Charlotte Turgeon, who died in 2004.
He was born and raised in Framingham where he raced cars, and he worked as a carpenter, welder and auto repairman in the greater Boston area. He taught automotive repair at Martha's Vineyard Regional High School for 12 years from 1980 to 1992.
He moved to Centerville in 1993 and to West Barnstable, also in 1993. He worked at Edward's Boatyard repairing boats.
In addition to his wife, Pam, he is survived by two stepdaughters, Tammiann Noonan of Waltham and Laurie Beth Bowan of Osterville and three stepgrandsons.
A memorial service was held at the John-Lawrence Funeral Home in Marstons Mills on Thursday, Dec. 29. Interment was private.
