Della Walters Follette Was Avid Golfer, Bridge Player
Della Walters Follette of West Palm Beach, Fla., and formerly of Edgartown died on Wednesday, June 14.
She had been a resident of West Palm Beach since 1974, and previously lived in Englewood, N.J., and on the Vineyard.
Mrs. Follette was an avid golfer, bridge player and former paddle tennis player. She was very active in the Salvation Army, Junior League of the Palm Beaches and the English Speaking Union and had memberships with the Everglades Club, Sailfish Club and formerly the Beach Club.
Mrs. Follette is survived by her husband of 64 years, William James Follette; daughters Sherry Follette Tift of Macon, Ga., and Debby Follette-Culbertson of Virginia Beach, Va.; grandchildren Lori Tift Palmer, Toby Follette Tift, William Lee Tift, Wendy Culbertson Ray, Amanda Culbertson Manansala and Ashley Culbertson; great-grandchildren Tift Palmer, Andrew Palmer, Thomas Tift, Tyler Tift, Kayleigh Manansala, Sophie Manansala and Charles Ray.
Private services will be held for her family.
