Marjorie Leslie Berry, 89, Was Accomplished Musician

Marjorie Leslie Berry, 89, formerly of Fort Myers, Fla. and East Bridgewater, died Dec. 27 at the Cape Cod Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Buzzards Bay.

She was the wife of the late William H. Berry and the late Charles L. Leland.

Born in Whitman, the daughter of Frank and Alice Leslie, she graduated from East Bridgewater High School in 1935 as president of her class. She was an accomplished trumpet player and loved music.

Mrs. Berry worked at Sears & Roebuck prior to her retirement to Florida, where she was an avid golfer and an active member of her church.

Survivors include her children, Leslie Leland of West Tisbury, Jack Leland of Coppell, Texas, Judith Andrews of Buzzards Bay, Scott Leland of Fort Myers, Fla.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sons, Charles L. Leland Jr. and Steven A. Leland; and a brother, Frank E. Leslie Jr.

A memorial service was held Dec. 30 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home in Wareham.
