April Memorial Service for Clifford Rose, 66

Clifford Manual Rose, 66, died with his son Chandler by his side on March 8.

Clifford, a resident of Storrs, Conn., was born June 23, 1940 on the Vineyard.

His favorite pastimes were playing tennis, watching sports, going to the beach, taking walks and spending time with his son and his family.

Clifford valued education and earned a certificate from Trinity College. He was an outspoken environmentalist who opposed local development. He loved the Boston Red Sox and especially enjoyed the game with his son.

Clifford adored his granddaughters and was very proud of them.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Sylvia Rose; his son, Chandler; his daughter, Angela; his daughter in law, Shannon Duclos Rose; his three granddaughters, Elizabeth, Abbie and Daisy; his four brothers, Robert, Kenneth, Dennis and Albert; and many nieces and nephews.

A grave side service for Clifford will take place on Saturday, April 14, at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Oak Bluffs.
