Robert A. Pawlowski, 78, of Holbrook died April 18 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.

Mr. Pawlowski was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Town of Holbrook, where he worked for more than 30 years. He was a lifelong Holbrook resident and a graduate of Sumner High School in Holbrook. He was a member of the Winthrop Congregational Church of Holbrook and the Norfolk Masonic Lodge.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Jeanne Werme Pawlowski.

Survivors include four daughters, Martha J. Horgan and her husband James of New Hampshire, Jane Niver and her husband Jeffrey of Georgia, Roberta L. Schneider of Holbrook and Phyllis A. Williams and her husband Woodrow of the Vineyard; six grandchildren, Kristine Magri of New Hampshire, Rebecca Honrado of Brockton, Jamie Easterly of New Hampshire, Nicholas Pawlowski of Holbrook, Vanessa Williams of the Vineyard and Michael Schneider of Holbrook; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter Pawlowski of North Attleboro; and several nieces and nephews.

At the request of the family, funeral services will be private. The Cartwright Funeral Home in Holbrook is handling the arrangements.
