Florence M. (Tilda) Fritzsche Pacl, 92, of West Tisbury and formerly of Belmont, died April 28 in Carlisle.

She was the wife of Robert A. Pacl.

Born in Chicago, Ill., on Feb. 4, 1915, she was the only child of the late Hugo M. and Florence Meacher Fritzsche. She attended Chicago schools and Northwestern University in Chicago.

During World War II, she served as a manager in the civilian division of the U.S. Navy. In 1949, she was married to Robert A. Pacl in a Lutheran church in Chicago.

For many years prior to her retirement, Florence worked as a church secretary at the Plymouth Congregational Church and the Powers Music School, both in Belmont.

She was a longtime resident of Belmont prior to moving to West Tisbury to retire. She was active in Girl Scouts as a leader and camp counselor at Cedar Hill in Waltham. She volunteered as a counselor for Contact's Support Hotline.

Mrs. Pacl was a member of West Tisbury Church and a volunteer at the Martha's Vineyard Hospital. During her leisure time, she enjoyed playing bridge at the Martha's Vineyard Senior Center.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; one son, Robert M. Pacl of Harvard; three daughters, Barbara L. Bjornson of Carlisle, Valerie G. Leri of Mashpee and Dianne M. Pacl of Orange, Conn.; and 11 grandchildren.

A grandson, Jack Pacl, predeceased her.
