Jonathan Walkley Beach, 47, of Franklin, Tenn., a former Vineyard resident, died Nov. 7.

Mr. Beach was a financial consultant, educator, musician and writer. He was a member of Parish Presbyterian Church.

He was a gold medalist in one and three-meter diving, International World Diving Competition, 1971; gold medalist in one and three-meter diving, National Age-Group Competitions, 1973 and 1974; and gold medalist in one-meter diving, National Junior Olympics, 1975.

He formerly worked as a news reporter for Vineyard radio station WMVY.

Survivors include his wife, Diana Yarzagaray Beach; daughters Isidora (Isi) Beach and Caroline (Lina) Beach, both of Franklin, Tenn.; his father, David E. Beach of Stowe, Vt.; his brother, Tom Beach of Washington, D.C.; and his sisters, Elizabeth Wade of Georgetown and Sarah Herreid of Providence, R.I.

He was predeceased by his mother, Nancy Thomas Beach.
