Priscilla Keiper Vincent, 55, of Niskayuna, N.Y., died on Nov. 22 at Ellis Hospital with her loving family by her side. She fought a courageous battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband William E.B. Vincent and their daughter, Katie, of Niskayuna and by her sister, Sara Keiper of Philadelphia and her brother in law, Robert W. Vincent of Schenectady, N.Y.
She was the daughter of the late Calvin and Nancy Keiper and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Schenectady.
Priscilla and Bill grew up as next-door neighbors and high school sweethearts and marked their 28th wedding anniversary on Nov. 3 this year. She was the daughter in law of the late Burton and Natalie Brown Vincent of Chilmark. Priscilla began her Chilmark visits in 1970 and they continued for the rest of her life. She enjoyed her annual visits to the family home, the Lucy Vincent house on South Road that they shared with Bill’s brother, Robert Vincent. She also shared the brothers’ pride in their longtime Chilmark history and in the preservation of the historic house. She was a quiet person of faith and with a devotion to her family. All who knew her will miss her.
A funeral was held in Schenectady on Wednesday and interment will be at the Abel’s Hill Cemetery in Chilmark on Friday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m.
