Julius E. Spector of Livingston, N.J., died Feb. 18 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. He was 86.

Mr. Spector was born in New York city and lived in Livingston for over fifty years. He graduated with a degree in chemistry from City College of New York, class of 1929. Employed as a chemist of industrial coating, he retired in 1985 as president of Everseal Corp., Ridgefield, N.J. He was a distinguished World War II veteran.

Mr. Spector was predeceased by his daughter, Lynne Marie Aubin.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Audrey E., a son, Stuart, a brother, Len Spector, and a granddaughter, Brooke Aubin.

Funeral services were held Feb. 20 at Bernheirn-Apter-Kreitzman Subjrban Funeral Chapel in Livingston, N.J. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 22 in the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Cemetery, West Spring street, Vineyard Haven.
