Norma F. Salop of West Tisbury and Boston died at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on April 28.

She grew up in Youngstown, Ohio. After graduating from high school, Mrs. Salop attended college in Chicago and worked at Marshall Fields Department Store as an interior designer. She later resided in New York where she was a docent at the Museum of New York City. She later lived in California and Boston where she pursued her career in interior design and as an antiques dealer.

Mrs. Salop was a highly respected authority in regard to antique silver. She owned antique shops in Edgartown and at Copley Place in Boston.

Survivors include her husband, Horace L. Salop; her children, Lynn Marvin Dingfelder of Tampa, Fla., Ross Marvin of Orlando, Fla., and Alex Salop of Thompson, Conn.; and her grandchildren Christopher, Andrew, Emily, Rachel and Joshua.

Funeral services were held at Levine Chapels in Brookline on April 30. Interment was on May 1 at the West Tisbury Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 650039, Dallas TX 75265-0309.
