Manuel F. Perdigao of Cohasset and Oak Bluffs, died Sunday, March 15. He was 78.
Manuel was the beloved husband of Valeta (MacDonald) and the loving father of Michael and his wife, Caren, of Columbia, Md.; Pamela Perdigao of Atlanta, Ga.; Mark and his wife, Lori, of Princeton, N.J.; Paul and his wife, Mariette, of Marshfield. Mr. Perdigao was the devoted grandfather of Brian, Steve, Julia and Scott Perdigao and the brother of Alexander and his wife, Lucy Perdigao; Claire Nicolas and her husband, Chuck; Arthur and his wife, Judy; and Dolores Mittermeir and her husband, Fred. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Manuel was a graduate of Boston College, class of 1956, and worked for the Cabot Corporation until his retirement in 1990. Manuel was also a US. Army veteran, a sergeant who served in Korea.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, March 19 at St. Anthony’s Church in Cohasset. In lieu of flowers, donations in Manuel’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Central New England Chapter, 5 Manley street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
