Albert B. Littlefield

Albert B. Littlefield, 97, a resident of Long Hill in Edgartown and formerly of Windemere Nursing Home and of West Tisbury, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital.

He was the widower of Margaret (Kahler) Littlefield and the father of Ann Nelson, Leah Kahler-Littlefield and Sydna K. Moon. His celebration of life will be held at a later date and a full obituary will be published before.

Al and Peg were good friends during the summers I stayed with them during July vacations about thirty years ago. Al was a true gentleman of the old school We would sit on the front porch talking of all sorts of things while Peg reminded us "to get busy" on chores! I remember fondly their daughter, Anne, who was a great friend as well. Trips from Washington, D.C, were long, but a Littlefield welcome was always warm. Gary Davis
