Katherine (Kat) Daniels of Vineyard Haven died at Beth Israel Deaconess hospital in Boston on Friday, Nov. 6. She was 41. The cause of death was a brain aneurysm.

Kat was born in New York in 1968, the daughter of George and Doris Daniels.

Her life was characterized by her strong love and support of animals. Anyone who knew her throughout her life, whether it was from her pet store in Beverly or her time spent in Chicago, knew she was always very busy learning about animals, and educating people about them. Among her many accomplishments was her time spent rehabilitating injured or displaced animals. She was a student of gardening and had a green thumb. At the time of her death she was in the process of learning falconry, and took pride in her work with her red-tailed hawk, Magick.

Kat’s interests extended into many different areas of life. She was a loving wife, a supportive person in general and was gifted at anything she aspired to do. She had many passions in her life. She was smart, strong and above all else kind. No words can completely capture her and the influence she had on those around her.

She is survived by her husband, Justin Sindorf, her father George and her brother Geoffrey.

Services are planned for a later time in early spring.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Chapman, Cole, and Gleason Funeral Home in Oak Bluffs.
