David L. Klein, 50, of Dartmouth died Sunday, Jan. 31, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston of complications from cancer. He was the husband of Sharon (Ferreira) Klein.

Born in New York, N.Y., the son of the late Della (Eisenstadt) Klein and Melvin Klein of Manhattan, N.Y., he grew up in Manhattan and lived for 15 years on Martha’s Vineyard, where he was the manager of the Island Inn in Oak Bluffs. He also lived in Dartmouth for the past three years.

Mr. Klein graduated from Rudolph Steiner High School and Roger Williams University. He was a member of the Portuguese American Club and on the board of directors for the Boys’ and Girls’ Club, both on Martha’s Vineyard.

He is survived by his wife and father; a stepdaughter, Stacey Barnaby and her husband Christian and their two children, Christian and Taylor, all of Stratford, Conn.

Private arrangements were by the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main street, Fairhaven, Massachusetts.
