Diana Fava Lucca, 83, beloved wife of Joseph William Lucca, died Friday, April 9 at the New York Presbyterian Hospital from complications of pneumonia.

She earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from the College of New Rochelle, N.Y. and a master of arts degree at Columbia University. She went on to become chairman of the art department at Clarkstown High School in New City. She was a longtime resident of Valley Cottage in Rockland County. At the time of her death, she lived in Edgartown and New York city.

Diana was the mother of Paul, Maria and Joseph, and the grandmother of Christopher, Lilia, Sarah and Griffin. She was predeceased by her beloved son Paul, who died in 2008, and is survived by her husband of 59 years, two children, and all grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hannemann Funeral Home, 88 South Broadway, Nyack, N.Y. on Friday, April 16 from 4 to 7 p.m.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 17, at St. Ann’s Church in Nyack, N.Y. at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, N.Y.
