Joan I. Riseman Kogos of Chestnut Hill died on Wednesday, Sept. 29.

The former wife of the late Leonard L. Kogos, she is survived by her children, Alan C. Kogos of Eastham, Faye M. Kogos of Brookline and Brighton, Rhonda Kogos Skloff and her husband Robert of Sudbury, and Scott P. Kogos of New York city; and grandchildren, Justin and Brett Skloff.

Services were held at Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland on Sunday, Oct. 3. Interment was in the Beit Olam Cemetery in Wayland. A memorial observance was held through Tuesday at the home of Rhonda and Robert Skloff.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.

Arrangements are under the care of Levine Chapels in Brookline.
