Jane Misrahi Quinson of Oak Bluffs died on Oct. 28. She was 70. Raised in Westchester County, N.Y., she vacationed as a young woman in Oak Bluffs at her parents’ summer home. Shortly after her marriage she moved to Philadelphia and became a special education teacher in the Philadelphia public school system. She retired in 1996 and moved to East Chop to live year-round.

She was well known for her love of cooking and took great pleasure in sharing treats from her kitchen with friends and family. Jane took particular joy in hosting her daughter’s family each summer.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Quinson, of Tallman, N.Y., two granddaughters and two sisters.

There will be a memorial service in the spring.
