Edmond A. Botelho of East Falmouth died at home on Feb. 21. He was 79 and was the beloved husband of the late Regina F. (Cunningham) Botelho.

Born in Falmouth, he was the son of the late Luciano Botelho and Deolinda Souza Tavares Botelho.

Edmond was an independent business owner. He was an avid gardener and hunter and enjoyed shellfishing.

He is survived by his children, Robert W., Karen J. and William P. Botelho of Falmouth and Paula J. Botelho-Peters of Oak Bluffs, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, his brothers, George and Franklin Botelho of E. Falmouth, his sisters, Lenora Huber of Georgia and Veronica Botelho of Mashpee. He was predeceased by his son, Edmond A. Botelho, Jr. and brothers, Charles and Daniel of East Falmouth.

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27 at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home in Falmouth.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 28 at St. Anthony’s Church in East Falmouth. Interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
