Jane Legge Brown died peacefully in her Oak Bluffs home on April 18 at the age of 89. Her son, Chris Legge, and a Hospice of Martha’s Vineyard nurse were at her side. Friends are invited to an open house at her home, 85 Winemack street in Oak Bluffs, on Saturday, April 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. A memorial service will be held on the Island in May; the date and time will be announced in the Gazette.
