Patricia A. Corey of Oak Bluffs and Falmouth died on Monday, Sept. 26, at the Royal Nursing Center in Falmouth. She was 83 and was the beloved wife of Henry Corey who predeceased her in 2010.
She was born in Boston to Maurice J. and Katherine (Driscoll) Kiley. Patricia was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and Emmanuel College. She was a second grade teacher at the Oak Bluffs School until her marriage to Henry in 1952. She then assisted him in his law practice as an invaluable aide. She had many interests and talents. As a teenager, she danced with Ballets Russes during their Boston performances. She was also a talented woodworker and built furniture.
She is survived by her son, Sean of Falmouth and his wife, Kristin, and three children, Owen, Alexandra and Aiden; her daughter, Kathleen of Long Island, N.Y., and her husband, Bill, and three children, Marisol, Emma and Liam. She is also survived by her loving brother, Thomas of Braintree. She was predeceased by her loving brother, Edward.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, at St. Patrick’s Church on Main Street in Falmouth. Interment will be at 1 p.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Bluffs.
