J. Scott Brockmeyer died Tuesday, Jan. 15 at his home in Vineyard Haven. He was 56.

He battled pancreatic cancer for 18 months like the warrior he was. He was joined in love forever to Linda S. Stewart, his wife of 34 years. His greatest gifts to all are his two children, Cael Stewart Brockmeyer and Dylan Meg Brockmeyer, also of Vineyard Haven. He is also survived by his brother, Grant Brockmeyer, and his sister, Sue Byrd.

A memorial service will be held at the home of his dearest friends Ron Hill and Cathy Padelford in San Francisco, Calif. Donations may be made in his memory to the MVRHS Varsity Girls’ Tennis Booster Club, checks made payable to MV Raqueteers and mailed to 33 Old Dunham Corner Way, Edgartown, MA 02539.
