Patricia Boisvert Luce Wyatt, long-time Island resident, died peacefully Monday, April 8 at the Falmouth Hospital as a result of complications from cancer. She died while being held in the arms of her beloved husband, Marvin (Buddy) Wyatt. She was 69.

Pat was born in Concord, N.H. to Geraldine Sheehy and Rene Boisvert. She attended college in Boston and worked as an executive legal secretary for many years there. In Edgartown, she worked for Richard McCarron before taking over the ArtCliff Diner. The legendary “round table” would often find the regulars discussing everything from fishing to politics as well as Island gossip. Pat was a welcoming wit behind the counter.

After she sold the diner, Pat went to work for Cape Air as a customer service agent which not only let her indulge in her love of travel but also gave her the love of her life, Buddy. Pat enjoyed yard sales, reading, decorating, swimming and just last summer took up sailing and long boat rowing. She was a curious person who was always interested in learning new things. In recent years she was very active as the First Lady of the Marine Air Traffic Control Association and was a member of the benevolent committee at the Holy Ghost Association. Her amusing anecdotes and easy laugh along with her ease of conversation never failed to make those around her smile.

She is predeceased by her parents Geraldine and Maurice Kimball (step father), father Rene; and her sister, Kathleen Boisvert. She is survived by her husband, her sister Ann Kimball Brehm of Spofford, N.H., her brother Timothy Boisvert of Orange, N.J.; step-children Stefanie Jo Hubert of Middletown, N.Y. and Joylynn Marie Coronado of Buffalo, N.Y. along with three wonderful grandchildren, Cole Hubert, Ryan Coronado, Madelyn Coronado; a nephew Dieter Brehm and nieces Emily and Jessica Brehm.

A visitation will be held on Saturday April 20 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home on Edgartown Road in Oak Bluffs. Following the visitation a celebration of life will be held at the home of Denys and Marilyn Wortman at 231 Hines Point in Vineyard Haven. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Pat’s name, 5 Manley street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379, cancer.org.
